Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Vamio app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Vamio ("we", "us", "our"). For questions, contact us at support@getvamio.app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Vamio. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate any account where we have reason to believe this requirement has not been met.

Vamio is available for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, honest information in your profile
• Not impersonate any person or create a misleading profile
• Not share your account credentials with anyone else
• Notify us immediately at support@getvamio.app if you believe your account has been compromised

4. Acceptable use

Vamio is for genuine, respectful social connection. You agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Send unsolicited messages, spam, or promotional content
• Share explicit, sexual, or offensive content in your profile or messages
• Use the app to solicit money, goods, or services from other users
• Attempt to meet users under the age of 18
• Use fake photos or misrepresent your identity in any way
• Scrape, copy, or extract user data from the app
• Reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the app's infrastructure
• Use Vamio for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

5. Community standards

Our community standards apply to profiles, messages, plans, feedback, and real-world interactions arranged through Vamio. We may review reports, restrict features, remove content, or take action where behaviour creates safety, trust, or legal concerns.

6. Plans and meetups

Vamio facilitates connections between users, but we are not a party to any meetup or plan arranged through the app. We strongly encourage users to:

• Keep first meetups in public places
• Tell someone you trust where you're going
• Trust your instincts — you are never obligated to meet anyone
• Report any behaviour that makes you uncomfortable using the in-app report tools

Vamio is not responsible for the conduct of users during in-person meetups. By using the app you accept full responsibility for your own safety when meeting other users.

7. Trust indicators and feedback

Post-meetup feedback may be submitted voluntarily and used to support trust, safety, and moderation systems. You agree to submit honest, good-faith feedback. Feedback that is false, retaliatory, abusive, or manipulative may be removed. We reserve the right to adjust or remove Trust badge status at our discretion.

8. Vamio Plus and paid features

Vamio Plus may be offered as a paid subscription or premium feature set. When paid features become available, subscriptions will be managed through Apple's App Store and will be subject to Apple's subscription and refund policies.

• Subscriptions, when available, may auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• We do not process refunds directly — refund requests must be submitted to Apple

We reserve the right to introduce, change, pause, or remove Vamio Plus pricing or features with reasonable notice where required.

9. User content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to Vamio (photos, bio, messages). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the app.

You confirm that any content you submit does not infringe any third-party rights, is not unlawful, and does not violate these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

The Vamio name, logo, app design, and all original content within the app are owned by Vamio and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, or reproduce any of our branding or content without our written permission.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Vamio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that connections made through the app will be successful or safe.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vamio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to harm arising from in-person meetups, loss of data, or unauthorised account access.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, without refund of any subscription fees paid.

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 8, 9, and 10) will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Vamio after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
